Jacqueline Linan

Music Director

Hi Barnum students, staff, and parents, My name is Jacqueline Linan.  I am starting my 15th year as a music teacher for Denver Public Schools.  For the last 14 years, I was the music teacher and for 16 years a director of the Mariachi Program at Bryant Webster Dual Language ECE – 8 School.  As of last school year, we taught over 300 students in our mariachi program and performed for various educational events and conferences.  We were also fortunate to take part in the Tucson International Mariachi Festival and Workshops in Tucson Arizona, as well as the Mariachi Spectacular Festival and Workshops in Albuquerque New Mexico.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree for Vocal Performance from Metropolitan State College, a Master’s of Arts degree from Grand Canyon University, and completed The Executive Leadership for Successful Schools Program at the University of Denver.  In my spare time, I perform in the mariachi group Alma del Folklore, I like to travel and learn about different cultures, and spend time with family.  I am excited to spread the love and knowledge of music to you all!
