Hi there! I’m Ms. Sturguess and I am very excited to be the art teacher at Barnum Elementary this year. I am brand new to Colorado and felt welcomed here immediately. I just moved from Saint Louis, Missouri, where I was born and raised. I received my Bachelors of Science in Education for Art & Design at Missouri State University with the hopes of becoming an art teacher. I am currently working on my Masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis in art and special education. In my free time, I enjoy any project that is hands-on. I usually have a coffee in hand and some project going, whether it is building my own furniture, crocheting, or taking a class to learn something new. I just enjoy art in all it’s forms and I look forward to sharing that with the students at Barnum. I am ready for a fun and creative year!
